MMDFW Burger Box Meet

Muscle Mustangs DFW had a small meet at the Arlington Burger Box. It was a fun night and I got to see a bunch of new faces. It’s always good to see all sorts of cars and hear about everyone’s like minded passion, their cars.

In this video we follow a member throughout the night in an interesting perspective of the night. Enjoy.

Photographer?

The last couple of months have been pretty challenging. A bathroom remodel that’s been going on for way to long, the awesome Project 64.5, a massive job role change at work and a new role within the North Texas Foxbody Club.

Like most members of the group, I post numerous photos of my own Fox as well as meet photos. There are many fantastic photographers within the club. So, I was honored when I was asked to be the official videographer/photographer for the North Texas Foxbody Club! What a great to opportunity to highlight the club and members while shooting photos of what we all enjoy, automobiles, Mustangs, and most importantly Foxbodies!

Getting Naked

After 12 months of the semi-flat metallic red, it was time to remove the dipyourcar.com Plastidip. The product is great and help up superbly, but needed to come off. I had a couple spots where I applied it incorrectly, runs, and a spot by the mirrors where is appeared some one peeled it. Possibly while at TMI or a parking lot some where?

Removing the dip wasn’t very hard but was time consuming. I need to determine what to do next, paint or more time. I have some time to fix some door dings and other dents before I do that.

Enjoy the video!

Is Project 64 1/2 the first Mustang ever sold?

Project 64 1/2 data plate.

Yup, the 64.5 project, Elyses car, is for sure a 65 Mustang considered a 64.5. This car is number 1,502 out of 9 million plus Mustangs and one of the first Mustangs made. It was made on 3/17/1964, production started on 3/9/1964, and we think it may actually be one of the first Mustangs ever sold!

Elyse’s 1965 Mustang known as Project 64 1/2.
First Mustang Ever Sold

Gale Wise is considered by Ford as owner of the first Mustang ever sold to an individual. That Mustang was sold two days before it should have been sold. The car was purchased by Gale on 4/15/1964, but the Mustang wasn’t even unveiled at the Worlds Fair until 4/17/1964, which is when it should have gone on sale.

The Ford Owner Warranty Card of Elyses car is listed with a date of 4/15/1964. Is it possible that this car was sold on the same day as Gales car?

This is the original Ford Registered Owner Card which indicates the car was purchased in April 15th, 1964.

More to come soon!

Update: Found the original owner and the car was indeed bought on 4/15/1964. Not one but two! More to come.

February 2017 NTFC Meet

I was able to attend the monthly North Texas Foxbody meet since mother nature was kind enough to hold the rain for a couple of hours. No one want’s t drive in that mess. Anyway, I shot some video of this meet and slapped some music to it, enjoy.

Some lessons learned, well realized, since I never seem to fix the same mistakes over and over.

  1. Remember to set focus distance
  2. Get a slider, your torso is not as smooth as a fluid head or slider.
  3. Remember to set exposure, like seriously dude?
